Last updated July 24, 2026. This page explains what Web Host Pro Stats collects, why it is used, how cookies support analytics, and what website owners should consider before installing the tracker.

The short version

User, website and analytics information is never sold. It is used internally to operate accounts, produce statistics, improve services, support customers, prevent abuse, and market relevant Web Host Pro services. The tracker does not record form field values, payment-card details, support-ticket messages, or page contents.

Account information

When someone creates or manages an account, the service stores information such as the account holder’s name, email address, password hash, optional profile image, account status, plan, website domains, display names, settings and traffic exclusions. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes rather than readable text.

This information is used for authentication, account administration, service notices, weekly reports for eligible plans, customer support, security and relevant internal marketing. Web Stats Pro purchases are completed by Web Host Pro and may also be governed by the privacy and billing terms shown during checkout.

Website analytics information

Installed trackers may collect the page URL and query string, referring URL and source, date and time, anonymous visitor and session identifiers, IP address, user-agent information, browser, operating system, device type, approximate country or region, campaign attribution, page engagement, bot classification, configured goal completions and delivery diagnostics.

Website owners should avoid placing passwords, access tokens, payment data, email addresses or other sensitive material in URLs. The service is intended to measure visits and navigation—not to capture forms, keystrokes, private messages or authenticated page content.

Cookies and local storage

The tracker uses first-party browser storage to connect related activity. A rolling session cookie lasts approximately 30 minutes after the latest activity. A random visitor identifier may be stored in a first-party cookie and local storage for up to one year. Neither identifier is designed to contain a person’s name, email address, customer number or IP address.

Temporary local or session storage may also hold attribution details and a short delivery queue so events can be retried after a network interruption. Blocking browser storage does not prevent every pageview from being counted, but session and returning-visitor continuity will be limited.

European visitors and consent

For websites directed to or serving visitors in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, analytics cookies and similar storage generally require clear information and consent before non-essential analytics starts. The website owner should use a consent banner or consent-management platform that prevents the Web Host Pro Stats script from loading until the visitor accepts analytics, and should allow consent to be refused or withdrawn.

The exact obligation depends on the tracker configuration, local implementation and applicable national law. Website owners should review the European Commission cookie information and the UK ICO cookie guidance or consult qualified counsel.

United States and other countries

The United States does not have one universal federal rule requiring a cookie-consent popup solely because ordinary first-party analytics is used. Requirements can still arise under state privacy laws, sector-specific rules, contractual promises, or when information is sold, shared for cross-context behavioral advertising, or used for targeted advertising. This service does not sell website visitor information.

Many countries outside Europe do not use the same prior-consent model for basic analytics, but privacy notices, consent, access rights or opt-out mechanisms may still be required. Each website owner is responsible for evaluating the laws that apply to its visitors, business and use of the statistics.

Use, disclosure and retention

Information may be processed by Web Host Pro personnel and service providers that support hosting, security, email delivery, infrastructure and account operations. It may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse or defend legal rights. It is not licensed or sold as a visitor-data product.

Raw statistics are retained as needed to provide historical reporting and operate the service. Website owners can remove websites and their associated statistics from the dashboard. Operational backups and security records may remain for a limited period after deletion. Aggregated information that no longer identifies an account or visitor may be retained for service analysis.

Security and access

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, including authenticated dashboards, CSRF protection, password hashing, HTTPS transport and account-scoped access. No internet service can promise absolute security, so account holders should use unique passwords, protect administrator access and promptly report suspected misuse.

Account holders can update their name, email, password and profile image from Account Settings. Website visitors seeking access, deletion or other privacy rights should normally contact the owner of the website they visited, because that owner selected and installed the tracker and is best positioned to identify the relevant site and request.

Website-owner responsibilities

Installing the tracker does not automatically make a website compliant with every privacy law. Website owners should publish an accurate privacy notice, configure consent where required, avoid tracking pages containing inappropriate sensitive data, honor applicable visitor choices, restrict dashboard access and ensure their use of statistics matches what they tell visitors.

When consent is required, the tracker should not run merely because the banner is visible; it should load only after the visitor has made the required affirmative choice. Declining analytics should not prevent access to ordinary website functions.

This notice may be updated as the service, plans or legal requirements change. Material revisions will be reflected by a new date at the top of this page.
